My husband and I were very much on a tight budget, but seeing that we ranked photographs as one of our highest priorities, we were keen on finding a fabulous photographer, which we did with Jillian.
Very much like Christi, a previous reviewer stated, Jillian has an unassuming, down-to-earth demeanor that really does make her feel like an old friend and puts even the most camera-shy folk at ease. She encouraged me to email any ideas that popped into our heads regarding photography and the engagement photo session was well worth it, as not only did it make for great couple shots, it made everything else came came later seamless.
I cannot give justice in words to her photographic sensibilities and talents. You must see her work and let it speak for itself. I loved all of her shots and felt that the wedding photos really told a story, rather than a series of posed shots. She documented all the little details that I worked so hard to incorporate into the wedding very beautifully. I loved best how she helped me coordinate a bride-groom reveal with the wedding party in a remote location just prior to the wedding. Unforgettable!
Thanks for everything, Jillian!
Jillian is not only an amazing photographer, but she is also such warm and passionate person who has a unique ability to put you at ease in front of the camera. The first day we met Jillian, I remember telling her that she has the perfect personality for what she does. Like the others have said, she feels like a friend you’ve known for years and, before you know it, she feels like another friend or family member at the wedding, rather than the photographer you hired. Book her while you can…you will not regret it!
Yes.
From looking at her past work, we knew she’d be good—but we were completely floored with the results. Friends and family are still talking about the dramatic, artistic work 6 months later. If the best measure of a wedding photographer is that all your friends want to hire her—then we’ve got a winner. No less than three individuals at my wedding ended up hiring her;)
We wanted something beautiful and artistic; we shunned traditional, stodgy, family photos. My husband is a photography snob—and nothing than the absolute best would suffice. What we got was so far beyond on our (high!) expectations we couldn’t be happier.
Finally, Jillian is one of the warmest, most caring people I’ve ever met and she showed unflagging dedication to our (intense!) wedding schedule.
Impressed. Impressed. Impressed.
(And yes, she’ll be photographing my baby in 9 months.)

The first time I met Jillian, she reminded me of an old friend. She was down to earth, easy to talk with, and excited to discuss her passion for wedding photography which is not hard to detect. I knew that my future husband, an artist and photographer himself, would feel at ease with Jillian taking our photos.
During our engagement photo session, we had a blast with Jillian! We felt like we were once again with an old friend as we explored Fort Point and played around Fort Mason. She was able to capture moments that we shared on camera in a way that only an artist can see. We adore each of the photos she took that day and could not ask for anything better!
Then our wedding day came, and Jillian outdid herself once again! We made a point to have friends not vendors participate in our wedding. We had friends make the food and pies, make the alter, make the flowers, etc… Besides the band, Jillian was one of the only paid vendors at our wedding. Even though that was the case, it was as if my friend was there taking photos of us, just the vibe we wanted! The photos that came to be as a result of Jillian and that day far exceeded our expectations! They are all fabulous!
I could go on and on about Little Bat Photography. About Jillian’s professionalism, her insightful eye for beauty, her creativity, her love for weddings and photography, but I think you should do yourself a favor and get to know her yourself! You will not be disappointed!
We knew in addition to taking some posed photographs, we wanted mostly candid photographs. Jillian was able to capture so many candid, natural moments during the dinner that we feel so lucky to have for us to keep forever to remember our special day. She also has an artistic eye that led to us getting some beautiful shots that showcased us AND the beautiful, small town we both grew up in.
We feel lucky to have found Jillian and we couldn’t have asked for more beautiful photographs and a more talented photographer to take them. She clearly loves what she does and is amazing at it!
